Morningblue gave Rosebelly a glance that warned her to keep calm, then answered Sharppaw as he continued to walk off. "There's no sign of prey stealing from us. Check every pawstep of your territory if you like, you won't find so much as a sniff of prey blood," the tom said, his voice level and cool. "Your scent markers were faded and that was unusual, that's the truth. I suppose if you'd like you could lie to your leader about us stealing prey, if Shadowclan values that sort of dishonesty. But if you feel you must talk to Halestar, I'm sure he'd be very impressed with the apprentice a Thunderclan patrol had to save from dying alone in the mud." The tom motioned with his tail for the others to follow him, keeping his pace steady and leisurely.
