So, I was originally planning for her to be relatively new to her powers as she had just learned that she had them when she was 15 years old. I was simply thinking that she could practice them until she mastered them, but what if she has an emotional breakdown because she believes that her powers are too much of a responsibility (e.g. She fails to control her powers again and gives up) and causes a mini-tsunami since she can't control them very well? When that happens, the mini-tsunami starts flooding quite a few houses along the coast when she has no idea that it's there. So, it kills/almost kills quite a few innocent lives, and when the other heroes learn that she was the one that caused it, they cast her out? And when the villains learn about her deed, they try to take her in, but she refuses because she's still loyal to the heroes? And then it RP's from there?

I don't know, I was just thinking about that so it could keep the plot moving.
