Morningblue felt a warmth spread over him. It was nice to have a friend. Someone to joke with and spend time with, and just enjoy their time together. Relieved, he got to his feet and followed after Rosebelly. "Any signs of prey, mighty patrol leader?" he meowed, his whiskers twitching and his mood much improved.

Rosebelly chuckled. "I'll start looking, Furball," she retorted with a smile. Rosebelly parted her jaws slightly, and took a deep breath. Once again, many scents of the forest bathed over her tongue. Her ears pricked high, twitching and turning. She might've looked goofy if her Clanmates didn't know how to hunt. Then a loud sound almost made her spring up in surprise. It was a frog. Rosebelly scanned the undergrowth for the jumpy creature. Then she saw it.

This frog was huge! She had heard of frogs the size of a Twoleg paw, but had she believed it? Heavens no! That was simply impossible! But here it was in all of its glory. Or was it a toad? Who knew? It was food. Rosebelly signaled her companion to get low.
