Veronica trudged down the street, hating herself for taking overtime. Then covering a shift for a coworker. Serving ungrateful customers coffee got old real fast, and she was glad she was a block or two from her house. She continued to walk, glancing up at the sky for a second. She continued to walk, but of course, got distracted and turned the corner. Maybe just a walk could cure the exhaustion pulling at her limbs? If she did something interesting on the walk, or maybe..she could just flop down and sleep. Veronica snorted. If only. It wasn't her job, exactly, that had exhausted her. Serving was easy enough. It was the rush of customers, and their rudeness, that made her more mentally exhausted than anything. It was more extreme due to her covering and taking overtime, but usually it was still draining. She huffed, glancing around, trying to find something to look at..or do, or maybe somewhere to sleep off the nagging mental pain of her long shift. She continued to walk.
