Downpourpaw sighed as he trudged through the mud. He despised the way that it dried on his paws, caking them with its filth. He would have to was his paws in the stream to get it off. Ugh, he hated mud. So wet and squishy... Shaking his head, he focused again on the task at hand. Hunting. He parted his mouth ever so slightly, tasting the rich forest scents. He pinpointed one - mouse. Lowering into a hunters crouch, Downpourpaw slowly crept to his prey, being careful not to alert it. When he was close enough to see the individual hairs in its hide, he pounced, tackling the creature. Before it could squeak, he crushed its spine, killing it. Proudly, he gripped the mouse and headed back to camp.
