”They’re birds, Achilles.” The pale wolf said with a laugh. “They don’t know the difference between a hare and a lizard,” Altair joked. It didn’t annoy him much when Achilles got all protective, but he couldn’t deny that it was slightly embarrassing when they ran into other wolves. He could take care of himself, of course, though he wasn’t the best when it came to surprise encounters; his reflexes were a little slow in comparison to his burly friend. Altair glanced down at his paws as he walked, feeling the wet hm earth beneath his pads as shey grew closer to a water source. He nearly missed Achilles’ remark about the stars, but once he saw the dark wolf break into a sprint, he chased after. Altair was no where close to running Achilles’ speed- it wasn’t that he was slow, the grey wolf just had shorter limbs. For every step Achilles took, Altair took two.
