Shiftedpaw sprung to his feet, his fur erect and his tail fluffed up in startled fright. “Oh, h-hi! You scared me.” He meowed, his teeth glimmering as they chattered. He wasn’t normally this jumpy, but today was just... really hard. He sighed. “Yeah, I’m fine.” He turned back to the water, regarding Patchpaw with friendliness. The stream gurgled past, smalls pebbles gleaming up at him with sparkling shimmering essence. His whiskers twitched, and he turned back. “I’m just... tired.” He pulled out the excuse easily. Patchpaw was never hostile to him, but most cats were so he needed to remain vigilant.

The she cat pulled her head back with her eyes wide in slight shock him standing up like that made her fur all bristled with a bit fear " I'm sorry I didn't mean to. Heh you Scared me too so now we're even " she meowed with a smile as her eyes closed she flattened her fur once her bit of fear went away her tail was standing up and swayed back and forth again " are you sure? No one's bothering you are they? If so ill tell them what for! " she meowed patchpaw was never a violent cat but if it had to come to violence she will fight her voice had some fight in it tho. " so what brings you out here? "She asked with a twitch of her whiskers now looking back at the stream .
