"I was looking at the moss in the den and I noticed that depending on how long the moss has been there, the color is more dull and yellowed. So far I've counted four dried pieces in our nest, six in Maplekit's nest, two in-"

"That's nice, Yarrowkit," Cherrydawn put in gently, cutting off the kit. "But I was talking to Peachrain. When you meet someone new, you should say hi first."

Yarrowkit looked at the senior warrior with wide eyes, noticing her for the first time. "Um...hi."

Peachrain knew kits decently well as she herself has raised kits, she had raised her daughter Bluekit for three moons before she died, and Orchardblossom until 3 moons when Orchardkit refused to go near her and as a result Peachrain’s sister ended up raising Orchardkit. And she adopted a kit named Bingo whom she raised. Kits made her heart hurt some, but she forced herself to turn to the kit, Yarrowkit as Cherrydawn called her,” Hi Yarrowkit. I’m Peachrain. You are right that moss changes color, did you notice that hte longer it’s been there the less soft is it? It does this because it gets dry.” She meowed wondering why she chose to educate the little kit about moss.
