Lilacleaf glanced around, searching for her red-furred companion. Surely he'd be somewhere in camp, right? "Redwhisper?" she mewed. After the return to the camp, she hadn't been quite herself. Witnessing the destruction of the fire hurt her more than she'd ever known, but surely she'd get over it. She had to comfort Redwhisper, make him feel okay.

"Redwhisper, do you want to go hunting?" she asked, hoping he'd hear her.

Redwhisper was attempting to hide in the shadows. He could hear Lilacleaf's calls but he felt his body couldn't respond. He sat frozen, numb with emotional pain. After hearing Lilacleaf's question Redwhisper forced himself out of his depression. He took a deep breath and stepped out of the shadows with a fake bright smile. "Of course, I'll go hunting!" He said and padded over to his new friend.
