@Duskflight

this freedom was..foreign to larkfall. it had been moons since he had parted ways with cuckoosnarl. his shoulders didnt feel too heavy anymore. he could walk around with ease. he didnt have to ask to leave the den or take scraps of his lovers food instead of having a full belly. he was recovering. he was still scrawny with his scars along his body, caused by cuckoosnarl and his temper, but he was trying to eat more. now without him he felt.. lonely. cuckoosnarl had been possessive of him, not only for his attention but also in fear larkfall would come to his senses by the support of his friends. he was at that stable point now, and he realized it had been so long since hes even spoken to one of his friends. slipping out of the warriors den he was met with the bitter cold, huffing to see his breath. cuckoosnarl wasnt inside. with every step he took it was like a breath of fresh air. amber eyes peered around the camp. he never realized how pretty it was. he always had been looking downwards in fear, head low to the ground, stature slouched in submission. but now he was perking up. he saw the first familiar face in awhile, and darting towards the tom. duskflight. when was the last time they had spoken? probably before cuckosnarl came into his life..and that was awhile ago. he felt bad for not speaking for so long. he halted on his paws, standing infront of the other cat, tail twitching nervously. suddenly his mouth went dry and he didnt know what to say. what was there to say after all this time? "hi..duskflight," he greeted softly, paws digging into the snow a bit nervously,"its been awhile."
