After all, he still felt the sting of betrayal from the last war. Windystar hadn’t come around and forgiven Goldeneye yet, much less Fallenstar. Oh, his blood boiled at the very thought of his name. Of the tom who took his only life in order to get him out of the way. No, Windystar had to focus. Focus on here, on now.

He had a habit for getting lost in his thoughts, he was a rather easily distracted cat himself. Not that that helped him any. He loved talking, but had fallen into some sort of routine as leader. Honestly, as deputy, he could talk to whoever he wanted whenever and a friendly chat would just be normal. As a leader, he felt that that was over. He had to word everything do carefully, it almost ate at him. Like right now, he wanted to have a normal, INFORMAL conversation but no. He had to talk less and smile more. So he simply nodded when Feathercry dragged him out of his thoughts once more. Instead of concentrating on his thoughts, he nodded again at the female and stalked forward, pinpointing what seemed to be a mouse. Hmm, not too bad. It had its back toward the leader as he crept up on it, and he had almost made it. But the clumsy cat tripped on a root - a tree root, of all things! - and landed with a thud directly behind the mouse. It gave a squeak, and Windystar moved his paw in a vain attempt to trap it. And he did - for a split second. Before it bit his paw and scrambled into a small hole nearby. “Yowch,” he murmured before standing up, expecting Feathercry to at least chuckle at him. Which was fine, he was laughing himself.
as she watched her leader clumsily attack the mouse a small purr of amusement escaped her jaws, before her face returned to a calm look. Finally contempt, the sadness that tinged the air was clearly radiating from her she had memories that were the last thing she needed to remember at the time. The molly looked on at the tan tom her hazel eyes wide and though her face was straight, she had a happy glint shining in her otherwise dull eyes. If she was honest she was glad another cat was there, StarClan knows that if she was alone she easily could have ruined one thing for another. The spot had ment a lot to her, but it couldn’t anymore.

Brown hues flashed forward as she narrowed in on the other cat, thinking to herself again she had to wonder why she had decided to hunt with him. The molly was always afraid of hunting trips and it could have easily had something to do with the fact he was a leader. She wasn’t in the mood for a formal conversation. She just wanted to chat “so how’s leading going for you?” she meowed trying to break the silence she had always wondered but she was afraid to ask how it felt. Even if she was to find out, it’s bit like her parents would respect her anyways:
