But that’s alright.” he hummed. “Your bearing has obviously heightened, your paws still work. You can still talk and run and communicate. You have nothing to whine about.” the warrior said, and rather bluntly. He knew this would come off as mean and heartless. But it was the truth. Her limbs worked just fine. Her ears became her eyes.

In the middle of his stretch a cold drop landed on his back, causing him do bend a little more than he desired. Many pops and cracks followed. After Doepaw’s quip he let out a grumble. “And you say you can’t hunt. You just hunt down the clouds themselves. And they’re silent!” he laughed. And as she covered herself in his fur he shot her a smile and beamed. “That and it’s cold. You’re fine.” he chuckled. He made sure to keep a slow pace, not wanting to walk too fast, making the younger unable to keep up. He didn’t mind the rain, or calmed the raging itch, the steady burn of his scars. No matter what he did or how many herbs he used. It was always there. However taking a dip in water seemed to be the only thing to soothe it.

“You know...” he started. The words leaving his maw as if they were a breath of air, an exhale. “You should work on your confidence more than your hunting skills. Having more confidence in yourself will help you with the hunting.” he wasn’t usually one to spew out advice, not one to give a lesson. Especially with the state he was in he wouldn’t be sure anyone would take his lesion seriously.
The small grey tabby female sat down as they reached a small overhang close to the apprentice den. The little molly didn't know that there was an actual overhang but she could feel the dry ground underneath her paws, compared to the wet and soggy ground of where the rain hit the ground hard. It was unnerving for her, it truly was to be on such ground where her senses did nothing and only those with sight would really be able to move freely. Her fur still pressed against Doeflame's she sat down more comfortably on the dry ground and mewed quietly, "I didn't wanna go all the way to the den... cause you wanted to stay out here, you seemed more comfortable in the rain. Like your movement got easier compared to mine that just went sluggish. And I guess you'll need company. Though I don't know about keeping others company."

Lying down she rested her head on her paws and turned her head to where she assumed that Doeflame sat. "I... I don't know how to work on my confidence... I just can't seem to do anything right and most get frustrated with me and that makes me frustrated with myself... I just wish I could see! I wouldn't be a burden on the clan... The little blind apprentice who wants to be a warrior... It'll never happen will it?" Her voice was quiet and saddened. It was the truth... Yet why had no one told her that. "What good is knowing when it'll rain? It is something as simple as hearing thunder and feeling no sun on your back... Everyone can do that. Also the moisture in the air... its just something that you feel... Just like this damp increased level of humidity... Its annoying!" Her pear green eyes sparkled in frustration and she let out a sigh.

"I'm not making anything better am I?" She curled up but quickly became uncomfortable and then stood up to pad out in the rain again to sit next to Doeflame rubbing her head against his shoulder that was already soaked. She was tired, her small rant having taking much emotionally out of the small female and she just leaned against the older warrior, her eyes closing although nothing really changed for the female. "I hope... that one day I'll be able to be normal. I remember you talking about my ears becoming my ears or something...but its just a big bother... I can't see things with my hearing. I am literally rendered useless by just the smallest change in weather!"
