Fawnpaw held his tongue, a splash puzzled but still ever-so-curious about what Eagleflight intended to speak with him about. If it was gauging his own thoughts on the fire-starting fiasco, well-- that hadn't even happened due to other circumstances, but he could nevertheless be somebody who'd be happy to listen. "No, it's fine," he reassured but didn't know if Eagleflight would hear anymore since he'd padded ahead to join the rest.

Swallowing a sigh, he pushed his thoughts aside to ensure he wasn't being left behind at the back of the group, which was where he intended to stay. It was the sweet spot for listening to their idle conversation but not necessarily feeling obligated to contribute himself when he enjoyed the company of his own cognitions. Such as when Eagleflight inquired about the territory and Fawnpaw could've told him precisely what they were going to find, he'd been there, yet Frostflight's presence was a deterrent. Not only would be potentially get into trouble, but worse, it might color his clanmates' view of him if they knew he was there as a morbid spectator to see the rain coming down in a damaged territory, soothing its flames into embers.
