The tom's ears swiveled forwards as his warrior spoke. He felt his stomach churn, uncertanty flickering in his heart. What was he supposed to say? "hey you're doing great? No need to feel like that?" Wouldn't that be hypocritical of him? He's in the exact same boat as Dirtfur. What was he doing for his clan, other than bringing in some other clan, who also just so happened to drive them out of their own territory, and take one of his warriors and make him deputy.
Fallenstar avoided the toms gaze for a few moments, unsure of what to say. How does one bring up another's spirits? What does someone say? "You're bringing food to this Clan, helping us prepare for Leaf-Bare. Tell me, how is that useless?" he finally said. Lapis gaze raking up from the floor to the other tom. "You're helping. Keeping us healthy and well fed along with your other clanmates."
