"Wait, they Twolegplace?! But-" She began to protest, but she caught a glance of Tallmarsh's expression and thought better of it.
"Ah, I mean- yes ma'am!" She mewed, walking in the direction directly ahead of her. She stopped.
"It isnt this way, is it?"

Tallmarsh walked over to her apprentice and used a paw to push her apprentice slightly to the left.
"Close. This way," she said. She led the way, pushing through the underbrush as she went.
"We'll be fine. Don't forget I used to be a warrior. And a good one, too," she called over her shoulder. She raised her tail proudly at the mention of her previous rank. She had been very prideful--borderline vain--about her abilities as a warrior. Her fighting skills were especially her strong suit, so it had been quite the surprise when StarClan had chosen her to be medicine cat. She felt like a completely different cat from back then. She had matured so much. As they walked, Tallmarsh elected not to speak, preferring to weave through the forest lost in her own thoughts. With every step they took, the scent of Two-Leg Place got stronger. She wrinkled her nose. It always had the same stench, no matter when she came. Whether she was a young kit or a medicine cat, it always stunk the same. She hated that scent.
