Chestnutstripe's whisker twitched with the slightest hint of impatience. Where were the rest of them? If what she was told was right, then they had quite the run ahead of them to get to the range. The last thing she wanted to do was dawdle and delay in the camp, just waiting for the whole party to assemble, and return later than desired to report the news.
Eyeing the apprentice that did show up, she rose to her paws.
"We'll head out; the other two can follow suit once they catch word of their names." A slight twang of irritation colored her tone,
"I don't want this patrol to take until the next gathering to even happen."
With a flick of her tail and a glance at Sootpaw, she took off for the exit, her strides long and assured.
