Sagehawk smiled sheepishly, a twinge of humiliation still smoldering in his gut. "Well, with you looking after them, I'm sure they'll be just fine!" he said. His concern was lessened slightly by Dirtfur's comforting presence, though he still felt bad for the poor thing. Man, if only I was a medicine cat. I could heal any sick kit!

He cast a glance to the side, paws shuffling at the dirt. "Ahh, I should probably let you get back to your deputy duties now.." he trailed off. Sagehawk's eyes flickered back over to Dirtfur, waiting for a response.

the dirt-upty looked down. He knows that he won't help any sick kit heal faster by being there, they need herbs of course. He forced a fake smile. The awkward silence fills between the two warriors. "Yeah..." Dirtfur shifted a little, but a bright idea gave him the courage to speak again. "If you want, we can go hunting." the tabby suggested.
