The she-cat stretched out across the cold ground, a wide yawn escaping her maw as her claws dug into the dirt. She shook out her fur as she stood back up, taming a few stay tufts with swift licks of her tongue. A quick glance around the clearing informed her that most of the warriors were out doing duties, with only a few relaxing in the clearing. Her yellow eyes caught onto another apprentice, who seemed to be having some sort of internal crisis.
"Finchpaw?" She asked hesitantly as she made her way over to the tom, worry etched across her wide-eyed features. "Are you alright?" She'd hardly ever spoken to the other apprentice before, but their clan was small enough to know everyone's names. Finchpaw in particular she could remember being a somewhat anxious character, and a skittish one like herself - something she normally wasn't proud to admit. Though he looked like he was struggling with something, and if Rabbitpaw could help then she would most definitely try.

finchpaw
*alright* might've been stretching it, at least in finchpaw's personal opinion, but he offered the she-cat a weak smile anyway. he didn't want to worry her, after all. he'd only met rabbitpaw in passing, but one of the benefits of not having a huge clan was that he could remember others' names, although this was something finchpaw was almost confident would change either as more cats joined their clan or as he got older.
"of course," he mewed in response, the words passing as somewhat bitter, despite his intentions. finchpaw's tone had never been the easiest to read in the first place, and it seemed the more confident he tried to sound, the more he came off sounding like someone to stay away from. finchpaw didn't *like* that, necessarily, but there wasn't anything he could do about it.
"and you? are you alright?" the tom asked a moment later, glancing at the she-cat. she certainly
looked okay, but it wouldn't do any harm to be sure—especially considering that she'd had the courtesy to ask him first. regardless of finchpaw's wishes leaning more towards a longing to be left alone, he had to admit it had been nice of her to come check on him. sure, it was something clanmates did all the time, but that didn't stop finchpaw from appreciating it.

With her nowhere to be seen, he sighed and opted to head for the fresh-kill pile instead. He figured he would grab something small from the pile before he hunted her down. Maybe she was out on patrol without him?

burdockpaw
boredom was something that burdockpaw simply couldn't stand, and as his irritation grew, he found himself looking for something to do. anyone could be a potential target to annoy (or a potential new friend, depending on how you looked at it), and with burdockpaw's eagerness to find company in full swing, falconpaw just happened to be the first cat that caught his attention.
"falconpaw! hey! falconpaw!" the tom called, getting to his own paws with his tail held high, ears pricked forward in an eagerness to greet the tom. he didn't know the tom well enough to make any assumptions about his personality, but now seemed like a good time. it didn't seem like falconpaw was
that busy, anyway.
