Besides the fact that he had started it, Twilightstar was just as he thought she was, a regular cat. She cried, laughed, ate, drank, worried, just like every other cat. She was still a regular cat with the addition of being a clan leader. It took her a while to get the hang of this playing thing normal cats seemed so fond of, she was getting it little by little and was finding enjoyment out of it.
Pulling on the breaks, she was amazed by the tom's speedy recovery as pulled out in front of her. Already expecting some form of retribution, she tries to backtrack although she wasn't fast enough. A shiver runs down her slender body as the freezing sleet collides with her face. Did she mention she wasn't made for the cold? No? Well, she wasn't! Rapidly, she shakes her head and then her whole body as if snowflakes had encased her entire body in its chill. She gave Raccooncloud something in between a pout and glower, her vivid green eyes blazed with a challenge. Now, this would not do. Normally she could let small things like this go, but she this strange urge to have the last laugh here. So as the tom took off, after making sure she had ever particle of frozen water off her face, she shot off after him.
"Raccooncloud, get back here and take your beating like a tom!" She growled, keeping her steps as light as she could with frost. The lilac molly's legs weren't as long as his, catching up wasn't too hard it was keeping up that was difficult. She couldn't outrun him either. Twilightstar didn't understand why he was running so fast all she wanted to do was bury him alive in the snow, she'd dig him out maybe... if she wasn't tired after this. After thinking for a second, since she could beat him she might as well trick him. She came to an abrupt, stumbling, halt with a loud hiss escaping her maw. "Ouch! My paw," she whimpered, scrunching up her face in a false painful expression, making sure to add a limped to the scene. Twilightstar had practice with the dramatics of acting, depending on who her mentor was, she often managed to get herself out of gatherings and training. She just needed Raccooncloud close enough so she could jump on him.
As he looked back to see Twilightstar’s reaction, Raccooncloud was delighted to see her glowering expression and light of challenge in her eyes. He loved messing around outside and just enjoying being out in the open moor. The winter wind in his whiskers and the cold snow beneath his paws made him feel awake; it made him feel alive. So many cats hated the cold and obsessed over the promising of spring weather, but he enjoyed the snow. It was so pretty, and the tom, despite his short coat, didn’t mind the chill. He reveled in the chilly breeze and enjoyed feeling, well, not quite cold, but alert.

Raccooncloud let out an almost kit-like squeak of excitement as the she-cat hared after him. Tail lashing with excitement at the prospect of a good run through the snow, the brown tom sped off, a mixture of slush and snow flying in his wake. His stomach churned with excitement as he ran just to run. It was part of why he loved WindClan so much; being with other cats who followed rules and, as a bonus, were fast, made the whole Clan thing worth it. Despite the nausea he sometimes felt when he had to go to gatherings or clan meetings, he was glad that he had such a decent place to call home. The brown tom enjoyed having a duty to perform. He liked to hunt and help his clan whenever he could. Even though he didn’t catch half as much prey as that which he chased away, the tom knew he was getting better. It helped to have clanmates that were willing to teach him tips and offer pointers.

As Raccooncloud hared between sparse bushes and bare shrubs, he caught the sound of her hiss. His ears swiveled towards the sound instinctively as he spotted Twilightstar crouched on the ground. Skidding to a stop, the tom hurried back towards her. It looked like his little chase was over... for now. The thrill of running evaporated as he neared her; the thought of her tricking him never passed through his mind. His gaze filled with worried as he saw her limping. Oh crap! Did I make her twist a paw?! BREAK a paw!? He didn’t want her to be mad at him from flicking snow at her; she threw it at him first! Would the clan be mad at him for making Twilightstar hurt? Frantic thoughts raced through his mind as he padded over. ”Twilightstar!” he meowed, worry raising his voice an octave, are you OK?!”. If se was hurt, he would make sure she got back to camp safely, to say the least. He hoped she wasn't injured too bad.
