Default Re: WindClan Clearing

Fawnsqueak swiveled to face Wormpaw, baffled by his under-reaction to this. Exiles didn't occur for no reason, and the cats removed from Clan life shouldn't be allegiance-hopping; especially not this one, he was a danger to whichever cats he came in contact with. "I... didn't tell them what to do and really wasn't going to," he pointed out to Wormpaw, briefly wondering why the apprentice believed WindClan leadership wasn't capable of making their own decisions without his input as it was. Inklings of doubt were beginning to root in him, doubts about Wormpaw's intentions here when he didn't seem to want WindClan to know about this hazard. He'd just spent days working his tail off, yet was ready to throw them to the wolves upon their departure -- not only was it bad news for WindClan, but Dirtfur was still, despite their best efforts, connected to RiverClan as a former deputy. Fawnsqueak wished to ensure Twilightstar didn't think they'd sent him here, as it was likely to be taken as an act of aggression. Fretting, he noted they'd have to talk about that in more depth once they left camp. It wasn't a discussion to have right now.

Oh dear gods above, Investigator Cattails was here to give his two cents. Fawnsqueak didn't know who this was, but everything about him suggested he was unfit to be walking into the situation from his demeanor to his utter lack of awareness. However, he raised an eyebrow when he said he could 'take it from here' since that raised a lot of questions about this cat's perception of his self-importance and capability. "Twilightstar is literally right over there," Fawnsqueak replied dryly at his obliviousness, and he dipped his head in her direction. She was speaking with some WindClanner he didn't recognize. And... now he was even more perplexed, so he let out the faintest of chuckles -- a surprised puff of air that held a semblance of amusement. "I thought you volunteered to take it from here," he said, skeptical. Apparently that wasn't a dismissal, because he was asking for his input. That he'd pretty much just said, but it appeared he hadn't listened at all. "I already explained it though...?"

Please, please let Twilightstar be more competent than this self-appointed camp-monitor was.
