[Fawn]

One would assume after being Lionstar's closest confidant for who-knew-how-long--most of his life?--that he would be able to predict where this was going, but Fawnsqueak was rendered completely stunned by this unusual turn of announcements. Weirdness and unpredictability were Lionstar's forte, though. Eyebrows hitched, Fawnsqueak shifted his questioning gaze to where Sootflare sat and faintly huffed a surprised laugh because... what? It was hard to believe he needed help finding a special someone. With his curiosity piqued, he trotted over to Sootflare, expression softened by understanding-- quite frankly, he hadn't much luck in the... ahem, love department either.

"Congratulations on the apprentice, well..." Fawnsqueak shot a glance over his shoulder. "Kind of. The guy seems a little..." A wince. Behavior issue central, but he imagined Sootflare could rein him back in, and maybe even Fawnsqueak could get to know him a bit better. Coughing to move on, he beamed almost shyly to tease, "Cheating on me, huh?" It was a play on the absurdity of it, the dating proposition, the idea of them being more than friends, particularly Sootflare was evidently into she-cats. More seriously, he added in cheeky earnest, "I'm kidding, man. You're going to find someone for sure, you're really sweet and everything-- handsome, responsible, empathetic, mature.. y'know." Okay, maybe that list was getting a little long--

Fawnsqueak's head tipped, he fidgeted. "I should probably, uh, let you... get to your speed dating, huh? I'll see you around!" He hoped that sounded casual. It was supposed to be breezy. And it was. ...Sorta. Breaking from his thoughts, he padded from the Streamstone to attempt to find a decent spot where he could watch this go down in morbid curiosity.
