As the other offered thier services, she cocked her head in curiousity. Those emerald eyes trailed across the clearing to examine a large tree and they rolled up and down it in thought. She didn't know when she would ever need those skills but it could definitely be a jaw dropping moment in a battle!
The idea of 'Sandwhisker the great swimmer' shifted to a new idea; 'Sandwhisker the jack of all trades'. A bright expression filled her eyes as she gave an enthusiastic nod, "That would be wonderful!" she laughed with excitement, leaning into the other affectionately.

A purr once again rolled from Fennelnose in waves, pleased to hear that their idea had not been rejected. Though their rumbling did hitch in their throat when Sandwhisker leaned against them—when had she gotten so close?—it wasn't enough to stop their purring altogether. They did not, however, return the affection. This was beginning to cross a line that hadn't even been approached in moons, and it was kind of making them uncomfortable..

"Yeah, it would," they agreed, offering a little 'haha'. Not as much as a laugh, but they still wanted to keep the mood light! "We'd be, like, the coolest cats in RiverClan." When the conversation died down somewhat, worries prickled Fennelnose. Usually, they were fine with silence, but after having talked a lot, it really made things awkward.. not like they weren't an awkward mess to begin with.

It wasn't too late: the sun was still in the sky, after all. "Maybe we could go out again and practice?" they meowed, glancing at Sandwhisker. As soon as the words left their mouth, they regretted it. Considering both of them had just been hunting, it didn't make sense to just go right back on out. And this was a lot of social interaction. Definitely more than they were used to. They looked back over at the prey pile, mulling over what to say. "Or, well, I guess I am kind of tired.."

Embarrassment bloomed on Sagehawk's face. "Oh-- whoops!" he exclaimed, spinning around to face Stonepaw. "At least you're already up!" He trotted past her towards the entrance, flicking his tail on her shoulder to make sure she followed. "Let's get going, then."
