Ah! Newleaf, a wonderful season. And perhaps Crocusblaze's favorite. The warm springtime sunlight filtered through the evergreen trees in ShadowClan's territory, dappling the peaty ground below his fluffy paws. He was in a particularly good mood that day, his feathery tail waving held up high and confidently as he strolled forward towards his destination, somewhere closer to the border on the opposite end of the Outskirts.
He admired the small shoots of grass and the flowers he was named after finally sprouting out of the earth, and regarded them tenderly. His white chest fur was soaked from the dripping wet moss he had in between his teeth. He had brought this here for a reason, and shook the moss above the brand new flowers to supply them with the water he knew they needed. "
There, perfect." He whispered to himself, tossing the moss aside once he was sure he was finished with it. He dragged his barbed tongue across his own shoulder to help rid his mouth of the taste. Moving backwards closer to the edge of the little flowerbed he had taken responsibility over, he settled into a sitting position to just watch life happen. The large grey cat watched the bees buzz about and the birds begin to come back down from the trees and peck about the ground with a gentle wonder in his amber eyes.
His day couldn't be going better, though he fretted some about the situation with WindClan. He thought what Icestar was doing was cruel, but at the moment was not feeling brave enough to outright question the leader of his Clan. Perhaps though, he could stop by the barn all those poor frazzled cats were all stuffed into and bring them a few flowers to brighten their day, or perhaps he could risk some stings and bring them a honeycomb. He knew he'd be more likely to find young kittens or queens in need of comforting or company in ThunderClan but it wouldn't hurt to look in his own territory where he wouldn't be harassed or attacked for trespassing...but maybe he'd check around there, too. Later.
