Ravenvine had been out patrolling again at night. He find it more enjoyable as he walked through the forests and it was all quiet, all still and all dark. It was peaceful. So he walked and walked, further up north than he himself went on his lonely dark night trips. He was blind but it was no evident as the black tom wandered with extreme confidence through the pine trees. He was confident.
He'd never set a paw wrong as soon as he'd learned to see with his other senses. However this would not last forever and his confidence despite his blindness would be his downfall. He did not hear the roaring lake in the distance as he was too busy just enjoying the quiet and enjoying the peacefulness.
He walked and walked, closer to the cliffs and the lake beneath them... That was when a wind buffeted him and caused him to change his direction. He picked up his pace and started running, enjoying the strong wind through his fur.
However that was when it was too late. The black tom had run out over the edge, and his momentum was too strong and he plummeted directly down into the lake, letting out yelps and screeches of panic. It was horrible, he felt the cold of the water set in quick and he kept moving his legs trying to stay aloft, trying and trying and he kept calling out. But there was no one. No one... And as the weight of his fur finally dragged him under, the breath left the black tom one last time and he was gone.
Gone to join his ancestors in Starclan... That was all the black tom could do as he stared at the remains of a shell he no longer needed.

Daisybloom's trip through Windclan territiry on her way to the border was quite. The wind was softer than the previous day, but there was still a bite to it that made her eager to get home to Shadowclan.
Leaving had been...it felt uncomfortable in a way. Like she was leaving something she shouldn't as she brushed her nose into the sleek fur of the warrior she had befriended. Daisybloom would deny she stayed like that longer than she should to memorize the way his sun warmed pelt smelled as they bit each other good bye.
She tried to pretend she didn't see the strange look that passed through Breezefeather's eyes too. But the molly was sure she had had a similar expression.
Why was her stomach twisting in knots when she was heading home?
The calico slumped her shoulders as she moved forward, doing her best not to look back at the moorlands. She didn't belong there. Even if the sky made me feel so free. Even if taking a running leap down a hill felt like flying for the briefest time.
The Shadowclanner was walking down the incline to lower ground were the rivers edge and the forest met. She deep in her thoughts she almost didn't see the dark lump among the smooth pebbles, covered in the coarse sands. Jerking to a stop in curiosity, thinking maybe it was a water bird she could hunt and bring back to Shadowclan, the she-cat stalked over to hid herself from view in a patch of river reeds to study her find. Unfortunately, it was not prey as she discovered.
With a gasp, the calico jolted back u to her paws to run to the water logged dark furred body of who she recognized as Ravenvine. The cat was still, and from the temperature of his wet fur and stiffness of limbs he's been dead a good while.
"Oh, Ravenvine, how did you even end up all he way over here?" she whispered to herself in grief at seeing a dead clan mate. Not wanting to leave him here for carrion to get to his remains, the she-cat dragged the corpse out the rest of the way from the water. He was heavy, and she knew before she could even really think about it that carrying him home was going to make her trip much longer and tire her out.
Still, she looked down at her fallen Shadowclanner and sat a few moments in a respectful silence before sighing at her inability to just leave him until she brought back others to retrieve his body. Shimming herself under the corpse until the majority of his body lay over her, she lifted up with a grunt and started the slow, arduous journey back to Shadowclan to bring her clan mate home.
