Snapping back into reality, Coldsong nodded at Aspenbreeze's suggestions and dropped back into a hunting crouch once they reached the top of the hill. He scanned the area for any rabbits, but was getting discouraged as they sat there for a while without any movement. Setting the vole down, Coldsong whispered. "Maybe we shou–"
Just then, a pair of ears poked out in the distance. His eyes widened and he quickly shut his maw, pointing his nose toward the creature in hopes Aspenbreeze could act quick enough.

Aspenbreeze could only roll her eyes at his statement. Well, duh! Of course she cared for him like she cared for any other clan-mate. Though after a few moments of silence, she chuckled in amusement.
"What, next time you want me to let you fall in the river?" Giving another shake of her head, Aspenbreeze turned to look at Coldsong. His expression gave away everything as she watched him drop into the hunters crouch, trying to turn her attention forward... and it worked! Aspen redirected her gaze and spotted the pair of ears as well. Dropping quickly into her own crouch, she stalked forward along side Coldsong, her voice barely a whisper,
"I'll get it this time..." She nodded her head towards the large, dead tree sitting alone in the field, "Wait by dead tree and I'll herd it back around to you so we can trap it, yeah?" Though, the warrior wouldn't wait for Coldsong to respond as she burst from the tall grass, streaking towards the rabbit. This was what she was made for! Her form... her direction and navigation. All so carefully planned. Moving and weaving with grace, her eyes locked onto the target as it noticed her approach and took off itself. She was gaining. Her speed felt as though it was unmatched - her heart racing in her chest as she swallowed rhythmic breaths. It's little cotton tail was basically resting on her nose, but as she skillfully herded it towards the Dead Tree. Whether of not Coldsong had followed her instructions, she wasn't sure, but she would still call out,
"GET READY....... NOW!" Backing off on her speed, she'd watch the rabbit fling itself towards the tree. She had predicted this was where it would have made it's nest, so herding it towards here only made sense. Aspenbreeze watched with baited breath, hoping to see the hopefully successful Coldsong pop up annnyyyyy moment now.
