Fleetwind shivered, hissing as the movement jarred his paw. He didn’t like the sound of Lionwhisker’s words. “H-how would you go about saving my leg?” He stuttered, worrying that his problem was much too bad to be helped by anyone. The words lost cause and get rid of rang in his ears and he shivered again. He wasn’t thinking of cutting off his paw, was he? How would they even go about doing that? Sure, cats had chewed off their own tails or others’ tails or sliced through the barely clinging flesh to remove a mangled tail tip but this was a foot! A whole foot! The tabby tom shook the thought from his head with a painful shudder and nodded at the medicine cat’s words, “oh, yeah, uh, my ear is pretty ripped up,” he offered jutting his chin to gesture upwards at his ruined ear tip. “The only other thing that could be a problem is this cut here, it seems deeper than the rest but the rest of the cuts will probably be fine once I finish cleaning them.” Fleetwind sat up and tried to balance on his haunches to show the one long cut that traveled from his underarm to his haunch.
