"If you weren't going into battle like the brave warrior you are, I'd pin you down and mess up all your fur!" Bumblebelly teased, returning the boop with his large paw.

Swanfeather giggled, which only heightened in pitch as Bumblebelly booped him on return. "Maybe I'll hafta stick some good ol' tree sap in ya fur, make it stick up in ev'ry direction!" he joked, tail lashing back and forth with joy. His pelt was on fire and his stomach was twisting, but he didn't place the reasoning. Bumblebelly was such a silly tom, it was adorable!

A little twinge of nerves tweaked his chest, but he shoved it down. Lionstar obviously trusted him so why worry? Creekrunner had never spoken to Weaselpaw before, but he knew what she looked like and was able to find her in the crowd, trotting over to her with a flick of his tail. “Hi, Weaselpaw,” he chirped in a friendly tone, touching his nose to hers, “I’m Creekrunner.” The tom walked out of the center of the gathered cats, flicking his tail for Weaselpaw to follow, and sat down to listen to the rest of the announcements. The mention of Shadowclan sent shocks of anticipation through him- he was ready to show those crowfood eaters what happened when they acted on pride. Turning to Weaselpaw at the end of Lionstar’s words, Creekrunner said, “I don’t know how far you got in your training with your last mentor, so you’re gonna have to tell me if you’ve had any battle training.” The silver warrior figured that if the apprentice answered with a yes, he could take her to the training island for a quick brush-up and to test that she actually could hold her own in a battle. If she said no, well, maybe he had enough time to give her a basic lesson. He wouldn’t take her to the battle, but he could give her a foundation to use in helping to protect the camp while the bulk of Riverclan’s warriors were away.

Weaselpaw looked up as Creekrunner approached, offering a lopsided smile in greeting. As their noses touched, she closed her eyes, ears perking to listen to the tom's words. "Hello, Creekrunner. I'm looking forward to be training with you!" she said in response, her eyes glittering with her masked excitement. Her tail twitched and she frowned at his next words. "I don't have any training, Puddlestep never took me out for it. I haven't even seen the territory yet!" She gave a huff at the fact, ears coming to flatten against her head. Puddlestep had seemed to be a good mentor, but they hadn't ever taken her anywhere. They even seemed to have disappeared after that meeting! Weaselpaw sighed and looked toward Creekrunner hopefully, wondering if he would take her to see the territory today.
