Ribbitkit settled down a couple fox-lengths away from the pile. He took a small nibble of the mouse.
"That's nice, maybe you can show me after we eat," he mumbled through a mouthful of meat. He wouldn't mind Foggykit showing him the move, but he had never quite understood why some cats, like his brother, were in such a hurry to become apprentices. In his opinion, kits had it the best. They could play and nap all day, and there weren't a whole lot of things they could get in trouble for. On the other hand, there were a
ton of things apprentices could get in trouble for. Plus, they had a lot more responsibility. In his mind, he wasn't in any rush to try and think up a way to become an apprentice early.
