Cormorantpaw hissed and lashed his tail as he dropped into a battle crouch.

“Yeah, actually, I do. Now get off of Thunderclan territory.”

His mind was racing. What would Buckbranch do? Where was Buckbranch? Should he fight this cat? Would he win if he did?

Cormorantpaw was fairly confident in his skills but he was still pretty untrained. He had natural talent but not all of the warrior battle tactics. Oh well. He would just have to trust that he knew what to do.

When another apprentice appeared, Cormorantpaw didn’t take his eyes off of the rogue. He didn’t recognize her scent as Thunderclan’s, though and the young tom hissed to himself. Two intruders? What were the chances of that? Now he really wasn’t certain this was a fight he could win.

“Who are you is a better question. What are you doing on Thunderclan territory?”
