Puffinhop almost squeaked when he was was approached. Why? What was so speical about him that caught this other cats attention? The freckled feline cleared his throat, his tummy rumbling quietly at the sight of the bird between them. Puffinhop paused, refraining from taking the first bite, but he let his head dip in respect to the older warrior -- even if Puffinhop was the elder out of them both. Temporarily anyway.
"O-Oh sorry, yes no! I'm fine, y-yes," He tumbled over his stuttering words like they were some sort of obstacle course.

This was bad and Breezefeather felt an ounce of pity for the small tom before he pushed it away. Pity did no one good, and it just made you feel worse when it came to yourself. Tail twitching, the silver tom looked back to the bird and then back to the young warrior... elder. Yet when he realised he was being respected Breezefeather let out a soft laugh of amusement. "I may be old, but I am not the elder here, young one. No need to be that respectful." He wasn't even that old and let out a puff of amusement again. He was so nervous, worse than the silver tom himself had been when he'd just returned from the clan. At least back then... times ago.. he'd had Roansplash and Buttercupbreeze to help him through his issues, this youngster did not seem to have anyone around to at least support him in anyway. So instead of nudging the bird towards the other cat, Breezefeather pulled the flighty tom in beside him and pulled him into a hug. Hugs were comforting but it also made you aware of how the other cat was feeling, based on the shakiness, if they drew strength from the comfort of it they resented it. "You're going to be fine. Now eat the bird. I am sure, it'll help you." He hoped the other cat didn't feel like he was talking down to them, but after dealing with Cornkit's shyness this was just... something he knew worked around more nervous cats. Instead of yelling at them that was for sure.
