Stagkit listened carefully to Mindtalk's word as he returned from his trip outside in the world of grey... Well the entire world was grey but it was more grey outside. He was going to be taking care of Twiglight? He would take the best care of her! He would make sure she wasn't lonely, she had food... maybe she could even teach him stuff? Could Twiglight be his teacher... what was the word... mentor? Could Twiglight be Stag's mentor. He had to question her when he was sure she was well fed and was not lonely. Looking back at Mindtalk, the little kit having walked all the way over to Twiglight's nest, he nodded,
"Stag got... some friends. Stag can introduce Twiglight to them! Cornkit!" That was... his one friend. Fawnkit was sister... not friend. With that the kit took a bite out of the rabbit himself and chewed happily.
"Will Twiglight teach Stag cool stuff? Will Twiglight be Stag's mentor when Stag is smart?" He hoped she would. Stag liked Twiglight.
"Stag will be named Stagpaw! When Stag is made an apprentice. Paw... after Stag's paw." With that he shook the bad paw that was growing stronger but still looked crooked and strangely put together after it broke.
"Twiglight will be taking the best care of Twiglight! If Twiglight teaches Stag how to hunt... Stag can bring in fresh prey every day. Would Twiglight like that?" he questioned, his blue eyes wide and hopeful as he stared at her grey face. And then he realized that Mindtalk was leaving.
"Mindtalk leaving?" he questioned as he made his way over to her and pulled on her fur.
"Can Mindtalk give Stag cuddles before she leaves?" He knew he was being a baby for asking for cuddles... But Stag liked cuddles! And he'd gotten the rabbit for them, the least she could do was to give him cuddles in return. Family cuddles!
"Before Mindtalk leaves... Stag think Twiglight would appreciate family cuddles!" And with that the kit tugged on the dark molly's tail before limping back to Twiglight's nest and cuddling up to the other molly. Stag had family... and cuddles. And he wouldn't be alone again.
