Irisflame repeated the simple pattern in her head as they padded through the undergrowth, snorting at Echopaw's subtle eyeroll. At least she was stopping every so often. Marigold, dandelion, poppy seeds, coltsfoot, tansy, Comfrey root, cobwebs, mushrooms. Echopaw hadn't learnt the uses of mushrooms or tansy quite yet, two herbs she was bound to use quite often. And if it ever came to one of those days when she couldn't get up because of her wracking coughs, the silvery she would have to learn to handle that for her dear mentor. She hobbled ahead of Echopaw to guide her in the right direction, eyes set straight ahead of her. She was off to her favourite herb collection spot, the one that was practically a herb storage all by itself.e
Exchanging the level glance with her apprentice, her own dark blue gaze lit up with amusement. She could see the energy sizzling through the young cat's body, eager to get started. As they emerged from the heavy pines into a clearing near the border with those Thunderclanners, she signed with pleasure. It was sunny out today, the beams shining through the needles, a rare luxury when you had all these darned pines.
"Marigold, dandelion, poppy seeds, coltsfoot, tansy, comfrey root, cobwebs, and mushrooms." She announced to Echopaw, nodding, "I'll grab the tansy and the second half of it, you grab the first half. Take some of that bark off the trees if the oak leaves we brought aren't big enough."
