Okay, one more breath. And he dragged inward but got more than he bargained for, a dust particle wrinkling his nose and causing an abrupt sneeze to rip from him. Oh stars. Now she definitely knew.
He padded forward as if he'd just been passing by and raised his head, nonchalant, smile quivering. "Ohheydidn'tseeyouthere--!" he squeaked. "What are you up... up to..." It lost its nervous enthusiasm as he realized the answer to that was beyond obvious, she was eating like he'd already noted. He should've planned better for this.

Otterstrike's head perked up as she heard at cat sneeze, ears twitching and eyes searching, she found her former apprentice.... crouching, hiding? The tortoiseshell scrunched up her brow, a half smile touching the edge of her maw as she leaned slowly down to take another mouthful of the freshkill at her paws.
This would be interesting...
The she-cat stretched forwards, plopping into a laying position with her paws crossed infront of her.
Otterstrike snorted at Fawnsqueak's
attempt to be some what casual.
Drawing her tongue over her jaws a few times, she pushed away her freshkill and pulled herself to her paws.
An amused expression had settled on her face. "Hello, Fawnsqueak." She tilted her head in greeting. "I was just finished a meal before I headed to go battle train. Though I've been waiting for some good conversation to reach me." She held in a chuckle, as if she and the spotted tom had
ever had a good conversation. Well... maybe that one time.
Her smile died, and she straightened. "I, Uh, It's been a while hasn't it." When she had left the den, they hadn't has final words between them. Did she even.. have final words for him?
