Staring at the kit as it suckled, she couldn't help but agree with Rosebriar. She knew it must have something to do with sunpelts genes, but she would have a little talk with him about that later. She tore her gaze away from the pitiful kit and focused on coldamber. Her body was still vigorously twitching, so it must've been obvious that there were still kits on the way. All she could do was shake her head before yet another stab of pain flared in her stomach. Ducking her head, she pushed with all her might and felt the small body of a newborn kit appear near her side. Bracing herself, she slowly turned to look at the kit and sighed in relief. At last, a normal kit! In fact, she was one of the prettiest kits she had ever seen. A weak purr escaped her as she set to cleaning the kit, her eyes full of love and compassion. She gingerly picked up the kit and placed her at her belly, though she put some distance between the two kits.
