Scanning the clearing, the apprentice spotted the perfect place. Not only was it somewhat secluded from the harsh rays of the sun, but there was an intriguing-looking feline within its reaches too. How elegant!

Taking a few confident steps, Reedpaw soon had some hesitation about approaching further, looking as dreary as he did. The last thing he needed was to be insulted for his looks. After a few more agonizing moments, the apprentice shrugged off his worries, feigning confidence as he approached the warrior with his large hare. Dropping to a crouch somewhat close by, Reedpaw placed his prey down to speak. "Hey there, fluffy cat! Hope you're not too posh to spare some words with someone like me." His meow was edged with laughter as he paused to take a bite. The cat looked familiar... but he couldn't quite pin where he'd seen them before. Maybe it'd be clearer if he managed to not he shooed off.

@Romulus
Oh how great, an annoying apprentice for company... He'd rather have nobody at all talk for him for an entire moon if it meant avoiding this tuft ball!
Large ears flattened back as he turned his silver-blue snout to the sky, a long exhale as he realised he'd be stuck talking to a kid... Even more amusing was the fact he was probably closer to Reedpaws age than anyone else currently lingering in camp.

"You would find yourself wrong, boy." He sneered through gritted white fangs, "I would find myself more intised to hang out more with..." He gestured vaguely in Reedpaws direction with a white dipped paw, "Common apprentices, if you took some pride in your general appearance?" A white brow was now cocked up.

He stretched out, beginning to groom the scarlet stain from the white curls of his neck fur. He threw an easy glance at Reedpaw, taking one last moment to judge the book by its cover. "What made you seek out my words to be spared, then?"
