In the near pitch-black, he swear he heard the scuffle of paws. Or maybe that was his imagination playing tricks on him. But the scent was quite fresh so could there possibly be rabbits? Did he hear them? Possibly not.

Littlewish grinned quietly as a purr echoed from behind him, amusement guzzling within his chest. He could sense the tom's growing confidence from here. It was a trait that the warrior was honoured to encourage. He halted as the musty smell of rabbit began to dance in his nostrils. It wasn't very often that rabbits could be found down here, which would prove to be a real treat for Eaglepaw. And on his first day of tunneling, too! Lucky duck. The older warrior crouched, pupils dilating to allow more light into his vision. The limited amount that the narrow hallway provided was enough to spot hints of a moving shape ahead. Now all they had to do was hunt it without getting trampled.
"Okay. So, here's what we're gonna do. You'll go ahead of me and try to get as close to the rabbit as possible. If you can, get it on the spot. If not we might have some chasing to do."
