The announcements were bland. Nothing interesting, although he supposed that no noteworthy trouble was a good thing. His clan's irritating deputy seemed to be too busy bickering to make a good first impression, but that was about it. More missing cats like the snow-pelted molly who had disappeared one day. Whatever. "This is my fourth, I think," the golden tom shared. When he put it that way, it made it seem as if he'd been an apprentice forever. It would've been five had the fire not occurred. He didn't want to seem bothersome, but Lionpaw was resolute in keeping the conversation going. "Is this the first time you've seen waves up close?" Really, the abyssinian mix was inquisitive as to why Windpaw would be standing within reach of them when she looked so scared every time they crashed onto her, but it wasn't his place to question such things out loud.
