But the thought was disregarded as a heat flushed his thick fur covered body. No, not pain! His loner days made him almost fearful of his pain, hiding and muffling it. It was ever a wonder he had even gotten the nerves to go to Lionwhisker regarding his hearing... "Ah never mentioned pain," Softbear snapped, a lil harsher than needed.

The large toms ears were quick to drop back, shameful of himself before ethe other could even react to his brutish mannerism. "Ah sorry for snappin' at yah. Just, my legs..." was this wise? To disclose his weakness? They were clanmates, he had to be able to trust them. "Th-they get a lil stiff in the morning. Everything tends to be a little.... tender."

Larkblaze's eyes widened slightly as he was snapped at. Now that.... that was intriguing. Something definitely worth probing. But he had to go about it a certain way.
The large tom soon apologized for his rudeness a few moments after, and Lakrblaze's surprised facial expression relaxed. But this was still.... a bit odd... Did Softbear have some sort of temperamental issues? Flashes of anger? Now that would be an exciting condition to study.

Larkblaze allowed his gaze to drift down to Softbear's legs as the tom explained what the source of his "pain" was. "Ah, I see." Was all the tom said in response, tail flicking as he tried to decipher what to say next. "Have you gotten any herbs from Lionwhisker to help?" The medicine cat was missing in action right now but... Softbear could've gone and gotten something before the medicine cat had decided to mysteriously disappear.
