Ridgekit felt his breath hitch in his chest. Lionstar was calling
him. Was... Was he ready? For a moment, he panicked. There was still so much more he had to learn, wasn't there? What should he do?
Then, he breathed. Quickly at first, but breath by breath, he claimed himself. The pale tabby shook out his fur and rose up to his full height. He scanned the croud but didn't see his Not-Momma. He hoped she was proud of him. If he had a tail, it would have been straight up as he walked over to the golden tom. He swallowed his nerves and stood before him, ready as he could be. He even managed to look the leader in the eyes, holding that gaze for as long as he could.
He could do this. He would be a clan cat.
