Hey hey! Things have been pretty busy for me, but I'm going to
have some more time coming up. I've been considering a plot for
my ShadowClan apprentice, Sparkpaw [site link in signature.]
When the plot takes place: 1 month or 2 in the future.
Duration: Probably till the characters reach warriorhood - but flexible.
Background: Sparkpaw is terrified of Dawnstar after the disastrous Highbranch meeting.
Now that she's found out apprentices must battle Dawn herself for their final assessment, Spark
will channel her fear into vigorous preparation, because she
hates being afraid. She gets to
a point where she'll do whatever it takes to win. Therefore- Spark will look for a
sparring partner.
This partner would be another apprentice, someone Spark can sneak away with and practice battle
moves she learns; her goal will be to perfect her skills, impress her mentor and ultimately succeed
against Dawnstar in the final assessment.
The plot premise: There will be two parts to this. First, Spark and her sparring partner make a
long-standing arrangement to practice and hone their combat skills till they're warriors. The
sparring partner's motivation for accepting is up to you.
Second, Spark is having an internal conflict about right and wrong, whether she should conform
to Dawnstar's idea of strength or not. She's going to learn some Dark Forest moves... potentially
from her mentor, Talonstone, but nothing set in stone. After Spark and her sparring partner have
built a relationship and perhaps mutual trust, Sparkpaw will use some not-so-fair battle moves
on them, culminating in the sparring partner getting badly injured. Spark is horrified at what she's
done and tries to fix it before anyone finds out. Maybe her sparring partner covers for her, saying
it was an accident, maybe not. Things are flexible / up to the characters.
Sparring partner: Can be any gender, preferably an apprentice, and at the very least a
type of friend for Spark. I'm open-minded to romance potential between Spark and this partner,
but it's not necessary. I'm looking for someone semi-active who wants to write multi paragraph
replies. It would be interesting if this character had ideas of morality too! They might conflict
with Spark's, they might align with Dawn's- whichever your character leans most towards.
