Jaran walked through the dark, his eyes finally adjusting, letting him see. He almost gasped at all the color.. ever since he'd gone blind, all the colors seemed so.. bland. But now, they'd shone like stars in the sky. He looked up at the sky, the stars beamed back at him. He sighed and began to walk, though he still couldn't hear well. He was always hoping this wasn't permanent. But.. from what he gathered that night, Pavel wouldn't say a word about it. He assumed from the fighting that they tried to find out how to fix him, which failed. He huffed in annoyance. The damned stubbornness of this commander. He hated it. The ISO jolted his head up, thinking he heard something. Still muffled of course, but it was something. He saw.. a girl? Not just any girl. The firewall's.. friend? Sister? What was she to him? He didn't know. Didn't matter much anyways. He'd been left in the garage when they left, not knowing what was going on. Jaran stopped and opened his mouth to speak, but he wasn't really sure what to say to her. Why was she out here? He wouldn't be able to hear her anyways.

Amber kept on walking. She was so cold. Her cloak didn't keep much heat in. Soldiers saw her, and asked her way she out after curfew. "I-I'll be on m-my way!" They surrounded Amber, and told her that she was getting sent to the Games. Amber tried to run off, but she got pushed down. I'm trapped... Please somebody help... She didn't want to go to the Games. She wouldn't survive them. At all. They took her cloak, and tossed it to the side. "M-my cloak!" She got pushed down when she tried to get it. The soldiers were going to rob her now.
Chris wasn't here to help, and nobody else was.
