"I'm fine," hisses the molly.
It was a poor attempt at brushing her qualms with the sleazeball away. Leopardpaw would probably feel intimidated if he knew her bitter feelings towards Springcry. She didn't want to scare the tom away- Not when they had a shot at being friends. Not when he already seemed ready to run at a moment's notice. But still, Plumpaw could hardly contain the shiver of repulsion to see and listen to the warrior she'd spoken to a total of two separate occasions. He looked at her like they were mates, in her mind, and spoke to and of her as if they'd known one another all their lives. Her slender tail lashes in silent fury as she digs her claws into the sand.
She keeps her back straight and tense, and she keeps an eye on Springcry while the warrior saunters closer to Lionstar at the summons. When he opens his mouth, she grits her teeth.
"That's not my name," Plumpaw mutters under her breath. Still, the silver she-cat keeps herself firmly planted to the ground beside her denmate, her gaze traveling from the warrior to their leader. His wrath would make her day- Perhaps it would be more severe with Springcry's theatrics.
Lionstar's words ring in the apprentice's velvet ears. On a suspended breath, Plumpaw looks back to Springcry to see what he would do. But before he gets the opportunity to act, their Clanmates do. A hot wave of satisfaction washes around Plumpaw- A grin scrawls itself across her visage.
"I'll see you around, alright?" Glancing at Leopardpaw, there was a hint of apology in her clear blue eyes. But she had to be with Springcry now. Turning away from the other apprentice, the silver mau slips nearer to the warrior exile. Now, she seemed glad.
"Are you sorry, yet?" she asks him, her tail hooking over like a question mark. Then, Plumpaw turns to look for Gentlethunder- the tom she had supposed to have been learning under this whole time. Maybe they could bond now.
