Skye muttered a few angry words under her breath after not being able to catch him. Thankfully, his head didn't make direct contact with the ground, so it was unlikely he'd have any lasting damage. She propped his back up against the wall of the alleyway, and huddled next to him.

Boy, this brought back memories.

Only this time, she had someone with her. Someone who cared.

It made all that time alone worth it.
