Sagebrook suppressed a small shudder at his description. It didn't sound like a creature she wanted to mix with. She reassured herself by reminding herself that they would be going in prepared, with two warriors, not taken by solitary surprise.
She began to slow as they neared the border, pricking her ears up amid the light evening breeze. "Around where did you see it?" she asked, before noticing a patch of torn-up grass exposing the bare, naked earth. "Is that where you scuffled?"
