Lionpaw noticed the new apprentice and his now-existant nest, and he offered an easy grin to the not-quite-average feline.
"Hey, Flickerpaw," the golden-furred tom greeted.
"I see you're settling into the den pretty well. How've you liked your new rank so far?"
He recalled his own early apprenticeship filled with an unbelievable amount of confusion. In between fires, leadership troubles, and transitioning from loner to clan cat, no one had wanted to explain much to the then-lost feline. He bet that Flickerpaw would have an easier time understanding instructions, though, since the tom had been born a thundercat.
