Wind howled through the bare branches of the oak trees, the scent of blood filling the cold night air...in the mist of it all were small cries. The cries of a newborn kitten!
The small creamy and black kit huddled close his mother lifeless body, he needed at her belly and tried to suckle on whatever milk he could get. Not even phased or frightened..just confused and hungry he began to crawl away from the body and into the cold...be he stopped, ow in fear...he cried out louder.
