Shimm-Noel-It-All
The golden-furred tomcat noticed his clanmate's approach and stopped pacing just as the maine coon spoke. His tail dipped down in embarrassment at the sudden attention though he quickly recovered, and the younger feline replied cheekily,
"Then that groove can be used to confuse any otherclan raiders who think that they can beat ThunderClan, day or night!"
Lionpaw's amber eyes sparked with amusement for a moment, but then he relented.
"I'm bored," the apprentice admitted.
"Camp is boring. I wanna go outside, but I can't—not without a warrior breathing down my back, or without me getting into serious trouble, anyway. It's unfair. I can fight better than most warriors, I bet, but I can't do a thing because of my rank. It's like everyone thinks apprentices are the same as kits."
Curiously, the thundercat glanced up at his larger acquaintance.
"You're a warrior," he stated.
"What did you do back then to pass the time?"
