Okay, okay okay. He was going to admit it, he'd been taking a small nap in the sun. The sun wasn't much but there was some and yes, he was not doing a lot but napping. And that was why he was totally unprepared for the kitten that came shooting at him and proceeded to crawl around on the top of his head and neck. The little creature was alive, moving and clearly strong already and as he slowly blinked open his green eyes he was unable to hold in the rumble of laughter. Little Thunderkit who it seemed had the same gene he had when he was a kit with too long legs that could barely keep him balanced and Breezefeather had no doubt that the kitten had done a lot of tumbling around and failing. But that was the amusing part of it and Breezefeather couldn't help the slight feeling of sentiment as he proceeded to shake the kit from his shoulder and just pulled him in close and stared at him with green eyes full of love. This little tom and his siblings was the deputy's new chance at fulfilling a promise he'd never managed to keep, this time he would not fail them the same as he'd done previously. He would not leave them at all, even if he would come off as overprotective, better than that than someone who left your kit alone on their own. "Hello little love, how is the wind blowing in your fur?"
