Buckstar winced as a kit or two and a couple of apprentices stumbled out and spotted the body. Maybe he should have reserved this meeting for older apprentices and warriors... no, that didn't make sense. He should have buried Gravelblaze first - then they wouldn't have had to see him.

Nothing to be done about it now. Buckstar took a moment to gather his thoughts before beginning. "Today, a Clanmate has joined the ranks of StarClan. Gravelblaze slipped and fell into the river and... he drowned. I couldn't do anything to save him. I can only hope he finds StarClan with ease. Tonight, I'll bury him in Firefly Cove. Anyone who wishes to help is welcome too, and those of you who would like to sit vigil for him may as well."

He ducked his head and closed his eyes, permitting a small moment of silence before he carried on.
