it was a pretty good day... save for the fact that dayheart was literally freezing. well, maybe not in a totally literal sense, but he was pretty cold. why did the weather have to be so mean sometimes? then again, sometimes the weather was nice and warm out, so dayheart wouldn't let himself complain. what he would let himself do was find a way to stop feeling so cold. hrmm... maybe he could sleep. if he was asleep, he wouldn't feel the cold, because he was asleep. dayheart wasn't tired, though, so he wasn't sure if that would work. hhh. this was requiring much think. he was not good at Think. aaa.

maybeeee he could ask someone else to do the think for him. like... hauntpaw! plus, being around other cats sometimes maybe helped ease the cold -- or at least, distract from it. right? taking a gander around the clearing, his green eyes scouted for his apprentice's familiar form, and his expression brightened as he found hauntpaw. bounding over, he greeted her with a cheery "hey!!"
